Just to let you know that last week we released a new version of PerformanceHub with 2 important updates.
First of all, we have addressed the widespread OpenSSL “Heatbleed” problem most websites are facing today. On April 7th, a serious security issue called Heartbleed was reported in the OpenSSL library. The library is used to encrypt private traffic on a majority of services on the Internet, including PerformanceHub. The issue could allow others to access private data from an affected server.
In order to eliminate the vulnerability, all of our systems have been patched and all of our SSL certificates have been replaced. As of April 10th, we are no longer affected.
That’s all the nasty stuff out of the way, now onto the exciting things.
We have made several changes under the hood to speed PerformanceHub up, particularly for people on slow connections. Pages are now 1 tenth the size they were and make 1 third less requests to our servers. Combined, these changes make PerformanceHub lightening fast.
One last small change. We have renamed the Decompose button to Cascade. Managers can now Cascade their objectives into their team rather than Decompose them. It sounds better and fits with how people think about cascading objectives.
