New Feature: Introducing Optional Self-Assessments in PerformanceHub

Today, we rolled out a new version of PerformanceHub and we’re excited to announce a significant update: Optional Self-Assessments.

Why The Change?

In the past, completing an appraisal in PerformanceHub required input from both the manager and the employee. Each party needed to contribute their comments and ‘sign-off’ the appraisal by marking it as “Finished”. While this collaborative process is valuable, we understand it’s not always practical.

Not all employees can easily access the internet to input into their appraisal (self-assessment, as we’ve dubbed it). To address this, we’ve introduced a new flexible solution.

Introducing Optional Self-Assessments

Now, self-assessments can be set as optional on a per employee basis. When an employee’s self-assessment is set to optional, managers can finalise appraisals without needing direct input from the employee, streamlining the process without compromising on inclusivity or detail.

Of course, employees are still encouraged to participate in the appraisal process when possible, but it’s not a requirement for completion when the employee’s self-assessment is set to optional.

Why This Matters

Many of our customers employ ‘blue collar’ workers who might not have immediate access to a computer or smartphone to log into PerformanceHub. This feature ensures that everyone, regardless of their role or access to technology, is included in the appraisal process. It’s also a handy solution for moving appraisals forward that might otherwise be delayed awaiting employee input.

To set an employee’s self-assessment to optional, just edit their profile and you will see a new area called Self Assessment. At the moment, there are two options: Required and Optional.

Other Things In This Release

  • Objective Details Report Enhancements: We’ve enriched the Objective Details report with more on-page information and made it accessible to managers in the Team Reports section, enhancing visibility and understanding of team objectives.
  • HR’s New 121 Capability: Responding to your feedback, HR now has the ability to delete 121 meeting notes, offering greater control and flexibility in managing meeting records.
  • Bug Fixes: We’ve also addressed a couple of cheeky minor bugs
