FoundersThe founders, Neil Bowers and Rob Wheatley, are veterans of the software and service industry having both worked in small start-ups (in both the UK and US) and large multinationals (Vodafone, Canon and Ericsson). Together they have developed products and services used around the world by millions of people.
CEORob is an experienced senior manager with a passion for technology and innovation. He has spent over 20 years developing products and services, bridging the gap between technical and commercial organisations to deliver practical solutions for complex problems. Rob has led a diverse mixture of teams, learning first-hand what it takes to get the best performance out of people, while keeping them engaged and motivated. When founding Cogendo, these passions and experiences combined, resulting in a tool which provides a solid return on investment for any company using it.
Neil’s passion is creating tools that help others get their jobs done; this has been a theme throughout his 20-year career. These have ranged from small-scale utilities to hosted services with high scalability and availability demands.
As a senior technical manager, Neil has built and led a range of multidisciplinary teams, gaining broad experience in people management in the UK and beyond.
In founding Cogendo, Neil’s desire has been to provide a pragmatic operational tool that makes life easier for everyone in a company.

Jeff is a US national who has been working in the UK for the last 9 years. He has over 27 years of talent management leadership experience with several Fortune 100 global brands including Merrill Lynch, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Accenture, EDS, PeopleSoft, MessageLabs (Symantec), SpinVox (Nuance), and Kantar Market Research. Jeff founded and led Talent Transformations, Ltd. working with Skype, Ariadne Capital, Dialog Semiconductor and Kantar Market Research. Jeff’s speciality is preparing and managing high-tech SMEs through critical growth inflection points – ensuring that the right processes, culture, systems and employee engagement is in place throughout all stages of organisational maturation. Jeff is considered an expert in performance management process and thus provides Cogendo with critical insight into best practice and innovative design.

Robin is a CFO specialising in getting early stage businesses up and running and staying on track. With a relentless focus on cash and a rigorous approach to business planning, Robin has a notable track record of achieving successful outcomes with a number of re-financings and exits.
Robin’s meticulous financial precision ensures our tight financial operation and focuses us on delivering solutions that provide a practical return for our customers.
Bob is a technology and strategy consultant with over twenty years experience focused on new ventures in the telecoms industry – working with AT&T, Sprint-Nextel, Bell Canada. He held positions as COO for SpinVox (now Nuance); CIO for BCE Teleglobe Communications and 2nd Century Communications; and as VP of Strategy for Sema Group in Paris, France. Currently, Bob is assisting several small businesses deliver, launch and support new products.

James is an award winning Marketer with rich experience in Entertainment (MTV, ITV Digital), Youth and Technology. He has recently founded a Strategic Marketing Hub – HΩΩPMUSIC – and a Music and Live Arts enterprise – Theatre. He sits on the Board of the Institute of Contemporary Arts and YouthNet. He is also chairman of C.A.L.M – a charity campaigning to reduce suicide rates amongst young men.

Steve is an experienced technology and operations consultant and non-executive director. His career has been focussed on building and developing cloud based businesses with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service. He is currently Vice Chairman for the London internet Exchange (LINX), is a founding director of Monayo – a cloud monitoring specialist, and provides his services to Cogendo – a leading employee performance management platform. Previous roles have focussed on delivering high availability business critical services, long term growth and business development, as well as acquisition and company integrations.
